About The Position

This seasonal position provides support to our concrete crews working on heavy highway, civil, and horizontal construction projects. The role requires a foundational understanding of civil construction, a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a proactive, team-focused approach.

Requirements

Willingness to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and overtime with little notice
Reliable transportation with the ability to travel within a 90-mile radius from home office
Compliance with company Drug-Free & Alcohol-Free Workplace policies
Strong attendance, dependability, and punctuality
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, cold, dust, mud)
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Quick learner with a proactive work ethic and attention to safety
Physically able to perform the functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in concrete construction
High school diploma or GED preferred

Nice To Haves

Experience with curb and flatwork preferred

Responsibilities

Assist in setting string line to proper elevation and grade
Handle and set metal, wood, and wall forms
Place and level concrete using shovels, rakes, screed boards, and cumalongs
Finish concrete using various tools: hand float, edger, jointer, bull float, broom, slick trowel
Install ADA panels and other surface treatments
Operate concrete finishing equipment: vibra screeds, truss screeds, roller screeds, power trowels, walk-behind and soft cut saws
Assist with curb machine work and related forming/finishing tasks
Operate small tools and equipment: cordless drills, circular saws, quickie saws, hammer drills, sledgehammers
Maintain worksite cleanliness and assist with general labor duties
Perform traffic control (flagging), as needed
Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
Assist others in department as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
