Experienced Commercial Cost Accountant Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company - Commercial Enterprise Finance is seeking an Experienced Commercial Cost Accountant (Level 3) to join the team in Everett, Washington, supporting Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA). Position Responsibilities: Perform month-end close procedures to ensure balances represent closing balances at month end, quarter end and fiscal year end are calculated correctly. Review and post journal entries representing accruals and adjustments that impact fiscal period closing entries Perform monthly reconciliations between subledger and general ledger Investigates discrepancies Have a knowledge of Physical Inventory Audits, Depreciation, Asset tagging and classification Ability to work in Microsoft office platforms and queries Assist in analysis of Financial Data line items for Functional Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reviews Develop and maintain standard costing methodologies Ensure compliance with Boeing accounting policies, procedures and internal controls and supports compliance efforts with Corporate Internal and External Auditors Have a strong knowledge of SOX, GAAP and accounting regulations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data accuracy and streamline processes Work with business partners to assist in setting up cost collection structures Lead financial discussions in operations reviews and deliver actionable insights Participate in special projects focused on process improvement, system automation, and policy development Understand labor processing, laws, accruals, deductions and benefits Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or Accounting 3+ years of experience with Excel, Access, or other database management 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment 3+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions or initiatives 3+ years of experience collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources, as well as interpreting data and presenting analysis and recommendations to management Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 3+ years of experience developing problem solutions and guiding management to implement those solutions 3+ years of experience as a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills, and a focus on translating technically complex issues into simple, easy to understand concepts 1+ years of experience in cost accounting 1+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high-stakes discussions Experience communicating effectively with employees, customers, peers, and multiple levels of leadership Ability to quickly learn new areas and take on additional responsibilities Knowledge of PeopleSoft or SAP systems Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process. Requirements
