About The Position

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent education.
• Stable work history in collections.
• Pertinent collections experience.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to think on your feet.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to work in multiple systems simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work varying hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect on delinquent accounts to preserve the credit union's assets.
• Make outbound calls on unsecured loans and a credit card portfolio.
• Identify first payment defaults on unsecured loans and address issues preventing timely payments.
• Assist with processing repossessed collateral and share responsibility for collecting on secured debt.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work collaboratively with the team.
