About The Position

The CNC - Mill Operator position is a temp-to-hire role focused on advanced manufacturing technology, specifically operating CNC milling machines. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CNC Machining certificate from a Trade School preferred or acceptable work experience in lieu of schooling.
  • Must meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Mill- 3, 4, or 5 axis machines required.
  • Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace industry preferred.
  • Experience with G & M codes preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Ability to work efficiently with others or independently as required.
  • Complex problem-solving skills with critical math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all policies and procedures associated with the various parts and equipment.
  • Load/unload parts to fulfill production demands.
  • Inspect parts using various precision measuring tools and accept or reject parts accordingly.
  • Operate regular (horizontal) machining center or VTL (vertical) mill in 3, 4, or 5 axis machines.
  • Analyze and interpret operation sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet customer specifications.
  • Verify conformance of finished workpieces to customer specifications using precision measuring tools and equipment.
  • Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes.
  • Select, align, and secure fixtures, tooling, and workpieces on machines as necessary.
  • Analyze, interpret CMM reports, and properly offset machine dimensions to meet customer specifications.
  • Perform deburr operations to within specified tolerances.
  • Document actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP system.
  • Perform under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
  • Accept ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
