About The Position

Now hiring experienced carpenter! Established, award-winning Residential and Light Commercial construction company seeks a skilled, experienced carpenter for full-time employment. The ideal candidate works well with others, embraces creative problem solving, is open to learning new skills and techniques, takes pride in their work and has a positive attitude.

Requirements

• Project management experience
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of and expertise with framing, trim, finish work, window/door/cabinet installation
• Familiarity with systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Valid driver's license for transportation to and from work

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and expertise with tiling, roofing, and drywall/painting
• Ability to read plans
• Knowledge of OSHA safety rules, regulations, and RRP certification

Responsibilities

• Understanding customer requirements
• Responding to change orders
• Performing other trades (light electrical, tile and granite, etc.)
• Managing peers (dividing job tasks, working as a team)
• Managing and/or working with subcontractors
• Training apprentices and/or coworkers
• Recommending job improvements, alternative methods, etc. (problem solve)
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (OSHA)
• Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry
• Occasionally attend classes and/or workshops related to job duties
