About The Position

We are looking for a skilled, compassionate in-home caregiver in Jefferson City and surrounding areas to join our growing team! This opportunity is for an experienced care professional who wants to be part of something meaningful. You’ll be supporting an older adult who is determined to regain her strength, independence, and confidence after recent falls and hospitalization. She loves conversation, enjoys getting up and moving, and looks forward to her walks. Her biggest goal is simple but powerful: to return to the level of independence she had before her falls . Being part of her care team can truly make the difference in helping her reach that goal. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of caregiving, in-home care, or healthcare experience - CNA preferred but not required
  • Confident and comfortable using gait belts
  • Experience supporting clients with post-hospital weakness or fall recovery
  • Comfortable working with a client wearing a neck brace
  • Physically able to assist with frequent walking and mobility support
  • Calm, patient, encouraging, and observant
  • Enjoys conversation and building rapport
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable in a home with a cat

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with walking every 2 hours during the shift using a gait belt
  • Supporting safe mobility and monitoring gait and strength
  • Encouraging movement aligned with physical therapy goals
  • Providing steady companionship and engaging conversation
  • Meal prepping and light housekeeping
  • Observing and communicating changes to the care team
  • Support safe ambulation and fall prevention
  • Assist with mobility using proper gait belt techniques
  • Encourage independence while maintaining safety
  • Prepare simple meals and support daily routines
  • Communicate clearly with office staff
  • Document care and observations accurately
