About The Position

Trussco Offshore is seeking an experienced Blaster Painter to join their team. The role involves preparing surfaces for final coating applications, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The position requires availability for 24-hour callouts and offers competitive pay based on experience, along with overtime opportunities.

Requirements

  • Previous blaster or tank/vessel cleaning experience is REQUIRED.
  • Experience with a variety of coating types and blast media.
  • Able to rig with cable, beams, and boards.
  • Knowledge of air operated spiders.
  • Must possess a T.W.I.C. card (Transportation Worker Identification Card).
  • Able to use swing rope to board boat or platform.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for final coating application through various methods including masking, degreasing, and containment.
  • Operate various tools in accordance with the company's safety policy.
  • Set up all blast pots, route blast lines, air lines, and lighting in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Inspect, prepare, and maintain equipment and work area for blast and coating operations.
  • Wear the personal protective equipment prescribed by posted signs, written instructions, and work permits.
  • Participate in company safety training programs.
  • Report all accidents and near misses involving self, company vehicles, or others to the manager immediately.
  • Maintain regular and timely attendance at work and/or customer properties.
