As an Experienced Automotive Technician or Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining new and certified pre-owned vehicles to ensure their safety and performance. Using advanced tools and equipment, you'll tackle mechanical and electrical issues with precision and efficiency, while following manufacturer and dealership standards by performing warranty work, pre-delivery inspections on new cars, and ensure qualified used cars are up to Mazda's pre-certification standards. This role requires a skilled mechanic with a passion for solving problems and delivering high-quality service. Requirements

  • Previous Dealership experience strongly preferred
  • ASE and/or manufacturer certification
  • Automotive background
  • Teamwork skills
  • Must have clean & valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Performing work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or manufacturer standards
  • Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
  • Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  • Test-driving vehicles and testing components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections on new cars from the factory
  • Obtain and maintain manufacturer certification
  • Explaining mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
  • Continuously learning new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
  • Inspecting and testing new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made
