They are seeking experienced automotive technicians to join their award-winning team at Stevinson Lexus of Lakewood, offering best-in-class benefits and pay. This role is for a skilled-level technician capable of performing diagnoses and repairs in all areas, with the ability to specialize in particular repair areas, and requires previous experience as a general service technician for three plus years.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education degree (GED) in addition to 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previously worked as a general service technician for three plus years.
- English language required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must maintain Lexus factory required certification and testing as released and required from the manufacturer to perform all repairs, recalls, and warranty work with no exclusions.
- Maintain ASE’s in accordance with Lexus Center of Learning
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug.)
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with GM brands is preferred.
- Bilingual a plus
Responsibilities
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Ensures proper repair order documentation, i.e., complaint, cause and correction noted on every repair order with punch time for each operation.
- Reviews job status frequently, logging status and reporting any change in time or cost estimates to the appropriate service advisor and/or customer.
- Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
- Perform a quality multipoint inspection on every vehicle to include supporting documentation; i.e. photos/video
