Requirements

  • Demonstrates a high "HQ" (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity
  • Experience: 3+ years of dealership or shop technician experience (Honda or Japanese/mainstream brand preferred)
  • Certifications: Clean driving record and valid driver's license. ASE certifications and/or Honda Factory Training are a plus
  • Commitment to quality, integrity, and guest care
  • Hardworking, self-motivated, and eager to continue growing as a technician
  • Steady communication with advisors, dispatch, and shop foreman
  • Strong diagnostic and electrical skills; ability to follow OEM procedures
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, reaching)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • ASE certifications and/or Honda Factory Training are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain Honda vehicles to OEM specifications
  • Perform warranty and customer-pay repairs with precision and documentation discipline
  • Communicate clearly with advisors and shop leadership to keep work flowing
  • Protect guest safety and trust through quality control and comeback prevention
  • Maintain a clean, organized bay consistent with Honda standards
  • Perform test drives to evaluate vehicle performance and diagnose issues
  • Research technical information and consult colleagues or service manuals to solve complex problems
  • Recommend preventative maintenance services to customers
  • Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment within the service department
  • Other duties as assigned
