About The Position

Join a well-established, Northeast-based law firm with a nationally recognized Commercial Real Estate practice. The Commercial Real Estate Practice Group is expanding its presence in Massachusetts and is seeking one or more exceptional attorneys admitted to the Massachusetts bar to advise clients on sophisticated transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing and financing. This role offers hybrid flexibility, with access to any of our offices, including Boston, MA and Hartford, CT - convenient options for candidates across Greater Boston, Central or Western Massachusetts, as well as those in nearby regions such as Rhode Island or Northern Connecticut. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced attorneys with a proven track record and a portable book of business, who value autonomy, innovation, and client service.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of commercial real estate and financing experience required
  • Admission to Massachusetts bar (or ability to waive in) required
  • Must have Juris Doctorate degree with an ABA accredited law school and be an active member in good standing of the bar

  • Admission to New York and Connecticut (or ability to waive in) preferred
  • Existing client relationships and/or portable book of business highly valued
  • Experience in land use and zoning transactions preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of commercial real estate transactions: acquisitions, dispositions, leading, financing and development.
  • Draft and negotiate complex real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, and joint venture agreements.
  • Advise clients on land use, zoning, title, environmental issues and regulatory matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including developers, lenders, and government agencies.
  • Manage client relationships, mentor junior attorneys, and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Provide strategic counsel on investment structuring, due diligence and risk mitigation.
