Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of changing priorities.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact in a team environment and foster client relationships.
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of the services offered by the Firm and ability to represent the Firm.
  • Recognizes opportunities for learning and pursues challenging assignments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of relative accounting experience; at least 1 in public accounting or professional services highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight over the Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting engagement work plans.
  • Demonstrate attributes of excellent client service and assist team members in developing technical and professional competency.
  • Execute a comprehensive self-review and articulate key concepts to staff.
  • Review completed work product and accurately reflect more complex journal entries within the financial statement.
  • Perform basic level research for financial statements disclosures and write the financial disclosure.
  • Leverage firm templates and technology to oversee staff in the preparation of financial statements and consolidation of trial balances.
  • Delegate and review staff and Intern work.
  • Understand mechanical workings of the financial statements and identify inaccuracies.
  • Build in-person connections with peers and managers.
  • Support Firm initiatives and development opportunities.
  • Promote collaboration in a hybrid environment.
