About The Position

The Armed Security Guard position at AEGIS Security & Investigations involves ensuring the safety and security of client sites in Sacramento, CA. The role focuses on crime and violence prevention, customer service, and maintaining safety measures. Armed Officers are responsible for patrolling the premises, monitoring access control, responding to emergencies, and writing reports on daily activities and irregularities.

Requirements

• California Guard Card (BSIS permit)
• Firearms Permit (BSIS permit)
• Chemical Agent certification
• 40 hours of BSIS training courses and most recent annual refresher
• 1-2 years of experience in high-end security, military, or law enforcement
• GED or High School Diploma / Transcript & Associates Degree or some verifiable college (preferred)
• Excellent English verbal and written skills
• Access to reliable transportation
• Track record of being on-time to work and having integrity
• Cell phone that receives text messages and has internet access

Nice To Haves

• Experience in customer service
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends

Responsibilities

• Prevent and detect signs of intrusions and ensure security of all entry points of the property.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences.
• Perform access control procedures by monitoring and regulating entrance and departure of site employees and visitors.
• Investigate disturbances and respond to alarms.
• Circulate among visitors and employees to preserve order and protect property through crowd control measures.
• Respond to on-site emergencies by contacting local law enforcement or first responders.
• Conduct pat down and metal detecting searches.
• Communicate and enforce applicable laws, policies, and codes.
• Interact with colleagues, supervisors, clients, and visitors at the work site.
