In this role, you will support the coordination and execution of digital transformation initiatives by organizing project plans, maintaining delivery cadence, and tracking progress across a portfolio of concurrent efforts. You will work closely with scientific, technical, and business stakeholders to manage cross‑project dependencies, coordinate technical teams, and ensure initiatives remain aligned with PSTS and enterprise R&D priorities. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational and coordination skills, experience working within a structured project delivery framework, and comfort supporting portfolio‑level tracking, status reporting, and executive communications. A solid understanding of IT systems, software applications, and system interdependencies is important to effectively support project planning, issue management, and risk identification. The role requires the ability to structure, document, and communicate complex technical and scientific information for audiences ranging from delivery teams to senior leadership. Prior experience with information systems, data science, biology, laboratory environments, and pharmaceutical discovery organizations is highly beneficial.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related technical or scientific field is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in either Lab Technologies or Information Systems is required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating projects supporting complex data, information systems, laboratory, scientific, or research‑adjacent environments, with the ability to bridge information technology, scientific operations, and business needs is required.
  • Proven capability coordinating cross‑functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders, interdependent workstreams, and external partners, including vendors and system owners, to meet delivery timelines and defined requirements is required.
  • Demonstrated strength in stakeholder engagement, change enablement, and cross‑functional coordination to support effective program delivery is required.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to develop clear, concise project documentation and reporting tailored to technical teams, scientific stakeholders, and senior leadership is required.
  • Experience supporting projects operating within regulated, quality, or compliance‑driven environments is required.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage technical and business stakeholders is required.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across technical and scientific domains is required.
  • Fundamental knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Azure Boards, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, Power Platform, ServiceNow or similar applications is required.
  • Working knowledge of structured project delivery or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, AIM, Agile, or similar) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Background or exposure to life sciences or pharmaceutical R&D environment is advantageous but not required.
  • Foundational understanding of laboratory and scientific environments, including data‑driven systems, regulated practices, and associated compliance and documentation standards is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as an effective connector between leadership, laboratories, Business Technology, vendors, and data governance teams to promote alignment, transparency, and shared outcomes is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Digital Transformation Planning & Coordination Lead supporting digital transformation initiatives within the Preclinical Sciences & Translational Safety (PSTS) organization in R&D.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support project delivery activities across multiple digital and software initiatives.
  • Facilitate agile project execution activities, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives, as appropriate.
  • Coordinate work across multiple application and system initiatives, ensuring alignment toward integrated, end‑to‑end scientific solutions.
  • Partner closely with scientists, Business Technology, Informatics, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, manage dependencies, and support successful delivery.
  • Identify, track, and proactively address project risks, issues, and delivery bottlenecks.
  • Support continuous improvement by promoting effective project management practices, transparency, and cross‑team collaboration.
  • Build project plans and track progress in Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Drives timelines and change management with rigor.
