About The Position

Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Analyst for its Energy Transition Advisory group located in New York, NY. The Energy Transition group is responsible for covering a broad range of corporate clients, financial sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and family offices in sectors including renewable energy, clean energy technology and equipment, natural gas power generation, water, and electric utilities. The group collaborates with teams across the firm in adjacent sectors such as telecommunications infrastructure, diversified industrials, and technology.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of investment banking experience, ideally in power, renewables, utilities, infrastructure, or related areas.
  • Excellent team-based attitude.
  • Strong work ethic and high energy level.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and an interest in finance.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior bankers on industry-transforming transactions around the world.
  • Engage in sellside and buyside M&A assignments.
  • Participate in activism and raid defense strategies.
  • Assist in divestitures and spin-off engagements.
  • Support equity and equity-linked capital-raising efforts.
  • Contribute to special committee engagements.
  • Provide debt and restructuring advisory services.
  • Evaluate strategic alternatives for clients.
