POSITION: Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Analyst / Associate for its Insurance Team located in New York, NY. Primary Responsibilities: Evercore's unique market position provides Analysts/Associates the ability to work closely with senior bankers on industry-transforming, multi-billion dollar transactions in markets around the world. The small transaction team structure provides a strong platform for Analysts/Associates to learn investment banking and assume high levels of responsibility at early stages of their careers. As part of the team, the Analyst/Associate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments including: buy-side M&A, sell-side M&A, portfolio separations and breakups, balance sheet restructurings, evaluation of strategic alternatives and assistance in raising debt or equity financing. Specific Qualifications: Candidates must have a strong interest in investment banking with strong quantitative and analytical skills, as well as the ability to think broadly about a range of strategic issues confronting the firm’s clients. Knowledge of accounting, finance, valuation and business strategy is a must. Responsibilities for a Senior Analyst / Associate include interfacing with clients to resolve complex financial and strategic issues, managing and executing live deal situations, facilitating due diligence, drafting client presentation materials, assisting with new business development, executing and overseeing financial and valuation analysis and managing Junior Analysts. This position comes with challenging work and a demanding environment in a rapidly growing firm. The ideal candidate will have: 2-4 years of Investment Banking experience An excellent, team-based attitude Relentless work ethic and high energy level Excellent grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting Superior analytical and financial modeling skills, and demonstrated excellence in academic coursework Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to work well in teams and articulate ideas Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint Exceptional attention to detail Ability to remain calm in high pressure situations with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously Prior insurance experience is a plus, but not required Expected Base Salary Range: $130,000-$185,000 In addition to a competitive base salary, employees may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus delivered in the form of cash and/or deferred equity.
