About The Position

As an Experience Research Associate at JPMorgan Chase, you will contribute to user experience innovation by conducting insightful research and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your role will involve understanding customer needs and preferences through various research methods, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights to inform design decisions. This position is essential for enhancing user experiences within the Consumer and Community Banking Risk Technology team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in generative and evaluative user experience research, employing methods such as surveys, interviews, and ethnography.
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to derive actionable insights for user experience design.
  • Experience in designing and implementing effective surveys and interviews, ensuring clear, unbiased, and relevant questions.
  • Ability to respond to changing research requirements, adapting to constraints or revisions in research questions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present research findings clearly and effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new research methods, tools, and industry trends.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple research projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with research and design tools such as UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of research studies to gather insights on customer needs and preferences.
  • Analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data, providing actionable recommendations to inform user experience design decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document user needs and business objectives, informing research efforts.
  • Review current literature on experience research and draft white papers to inform senior researchers on current trends.
  • Support User Experience leads in the continuous improvement of research methodologies and the development of knowledge in additional User Experience disciplines.
