As the Experience Design (XD/UX) Lead at Travelers, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience for our customers, agents, employees, and partners. The XD team is dedicated to creating solutions that ensure best-in-class experiences, and as the Lead Experience Designer, you will be at the forefront of this mission. Your responsibilities will include discovering and creating new and improved solutions that result in unified, inclusive, and valuable experiences. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including product and journey management, engineering, data and analytics, and business stakeholders, to set the experience vision and strategy. Your insights will be transformed into actionable observations, and you will define, test, and implement service and product solutions across multiple channels. In this role, you will conduct research and design solutions for products and services, improving models, concepts, and design elements such as experience goals, journey maps, information architecture, scenarios, personas, interactions, content, and visuals. You will identify, plan, and execute research and testing activities to gather user experience data, evaluate usability, and determine the effectiveness of concepts. Your ability to analyze, evaluate, and report results will be crucial in communicating findings to design stakeholders. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will engage with end users, business and technology functions, and outside partners to integrate a human-centered focus into your work. You will provide domain-specific insights, align and sequence work appropriately, and help others understand the scope and objectives of projects. Additionally, you will mentor less experienced XD staff, contribute to team development, and grow your own skills while advancing the XD function. If you are managing others, you will set performance goals, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
