About the position
Grant Aviation is seeking a full-time Expeditor to join our maintenance team. This role is essential in ensuring that our fleet operates safely and efficiently. The Expeditor will be responsible for shipping and receiving operations, working closely with the Maintenance Parts Manager and team to expedite parts and materials safely. The position involves maintaining a good work ethic, being reliable and punctual, and performing various tasks related to inventory control and logistics.
Responsibilities
- Perform shipping and receiving operations including sorting, stocking, and tracking and coding.
- Complete all paperwork for shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Pick up parts, freight, and supplies from local stores and freight forwarding carriers.
- Assist with keeping the working space clean and safe.
- Demonstrate familiarization with the principal elements of assigned duties.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Parts Manager.
Requirements
- Experience with parts and shipping and receiving work preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must submit to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
- Able to lift 70 pounds.
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn and master new computer maintenance programs.
