About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Food Expeditor to ensure smooth communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. This role is key in maintaining the flow of orders, checking accuracy and presentation, and ensuring guests receive their meals quickly and correctly. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at communication, and keeps calm under pressure.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
• Keen eye for detail and commitment to quality.
• Team-oriented with the ability to coordinate between staff members.
• Flexibility to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler’s Card (or the ability to obtain one).
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. under State and Federal guidelines.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
• Work in a hot, busy, and fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Shifts include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Adhere to Bagelmania’s uniform and hygiene policies.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly with the kitchen by calling out orders, checking dish status, and alerting waitstaff when dishes are ready.
• Notify waitstaff when menu items are unavailable and relay special requests from guests to the kitchen.
• Monitor portion sizes and plating to ensure they meet restaurant standards.
• Prioritize and track orders to ensure timely service.
• Inspect dishes for cleanliness, presentation, and correct temperature before serving.
• Add finishing touches to plates, such as garnishes, and ensure a polished presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep, storage, and service areas.
• Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist staff across all areas as needed to support smooth service.
• Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally on behalf of the kitchen staff.
