About The Position

The position focuses on increasing On-Time Delivery (OTD) by expediting the flow of work and materials between departments according to the production schedule. The role involves collaboration with Customer Service and Planning, and serves as a direct interface with Quality and Subcontract teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years forklift experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 to 5 years of progressive experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record in buying and procurement
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite
• High energy and works well in team environments

Nice To Haves

• Strong initiative with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Detailed oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Familiar with ERP systems, preferably Epicor

Responsibilities

• Reviews daily, all items currently showing Slip Codes in Epicor and reports progress to Customer Service and Planning Team
• Works with Sub-Contract Team to contact suppliers and maintain accurate PO delivery dates in ERP system
• Ensures interdepartmental communication for improved coordination of critical products
• Collaborates with Project Managers for updates on delivery timelines
• Compiles, records and reports project performance and progress to management and key stakeholders
• Reviews demand and takes necessary action to meet delivery dates
• May be available to release repeat jobs in the planning department
• Regularly assigned special projects that require additional oversight during the manufacturing process
• Issues and manages purchase orders for raw materials, components, and services
• Coordinates with production, planning, and warehouse teams to manage material availability
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date records in the ERP/MRP system
• Ensures daily movement and distribution of materials within the shop
