The Expeditor/Assembler position at DataDirect Networks involves ensuring the smooth flow of materials within the manufacturing facility. This role is critical for maintaining production efficiency and requires strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will work closely with various teams to expedite material delivery and support assembly processes, contributing to the company's commitment to innovation in AI and data management.

Coordinate with production planners, procurement team, and warehouse staff to prioritize and expedite the flow of materials and components needed for production.
Monitor inventory levels and production schedules to identify potential bottlenecks or delays.
Expedite urgent orders or critical materials to meet production deadlines.
Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues that may arise.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, production schedules, and material movements.
Collaborate with production managers and supervisors to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.
Participate in continuous improvement and team building activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards at all times.
Proficient in use of basic hand tools and machines including but not limited to (non/ powered) screw drivers.
Assemble, modify, and rework production components / sub-assemblies utilizing process documentation (drawings) and Bill of Materials.
Maintain productive working relationships with all team members.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager with minimal supervision.

Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a role involving material coordination or expediting.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in supply chain management or a related field are a plus.
Minimum ONE (1) year assembly and expediting experience necessary; Two (2) years' experience preferred.
