About The Position

As an Expander you will prepare and expand cores to size as specified and prepare for shipping. Utilize the MRP system to record labor and other essential data. Currently there is an opening for an Expander in our Metals division on 3rd shift (Sunday - Thursday 10:30PM to 6:30AM) Metals Expander: Starting at $20.90 per hour on 3rd Shift!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the core expander to meet work order specifications.
  • Assemble proper materials for the job.
  • Cut materials to specified size.
  • Expand core to proper length, width, and density.
  • Measure end product for accuracy.
  • Prepare cores for shipping.
  • Train other employees as needed.
  • Complete documentation correctly and neatly.
  • Assist other departments as necessary.
  • Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery by being efficient, productive, and careful.
  • Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Continually looks for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
  • Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
