About The Position

As a TK/Kinder Instructor at Bay Area Community Resources, you will engage young children in play-based, hands-on activities that promote their development and readiness for kindergarten and first grade. This part-time role requires a commitment to fostering a safe and creative learning environment, with a focus on individual and group activities that support early childhood education.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or higher, or 48 or more college units, or pass the Instructional Aide exam.
• 6-12 ECE Units TK experience.
• The ability to commit to a daily set schedule.
• A desire to work with young children.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must provide a negative TB clearance.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and plan a play-based curriculum that supports kindergarten and first-grade readiness.
• Create a program environment that fosters creativity and excitement.
• Write lesson plans using learning targets and instructional strategies.
• Create, plan, and facilitate engaging enrichment and physical activities for young children.
• Promote a safe and positive classroom environment.
