Help A Child Smile , a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Expanded Duties Dental Assistant in Claxton, GA and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school. Our innovative in school dental program offers something different than a traditional dental practice. With a workday that ends with the school day and no nights or weekends, our program is perfect for people looking for a diverse and different working environment. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

• Must hold active CPR/BLS certification card
• Must have 1+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant (DA)
• Must have 1+ years Digital X-ray Imaging experience
• Valid driver license, reliable transportation and a willingness to travel locally is a must
• Works well with others (both children and adults)
• Ability to work well in fast-paced environment; organized and detail-oriented; able to multi-task
• Must be able to carry up to 55 lbs.
• Able to walk several flights of stairs on occasion as many schools are without elevators
• Must Be X-Ray Certified
• Must have; EDDA certification
• Must have Coronol Polish Certification
• Must Be Sealant Certified
• Must Be Fluoride Certified

Responsibilities

• Dental Assisting Services during mobile dental clinics
• Digital X-ray Imaging
• Patient Records
• Charting
• Equipment Set-up, Breakdown, and Sterilization Assistance
• Travel Daily to and from school sites
