About The Position

Exhibit staff provides clerical assistance for Fair competitions and works within a fast paced environment to meet the demands of multiple projects simultaneously. They assist in creating approved attractions including but not limited to: set design, decorating photo props, creating entrances to various attractions, and decorating vignettes. They are responsible for assisting in pre-Fair events, set-up, working in an assigned attraction during Fair, and assisting with additional projects and day to day activities within each attraction.

• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required during the Fair
• Ability to walk and stand for 8 hours a day
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
• Must be available to work every day of the LA County Fair

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical assistance to Programming Department including data entry, preparing paperwork for Fair competitions.
• Assisting in pre-Fair set up for attractions and exhibits.
• Works within the Programming Department in creating unique exhibits and attractions for guests.
• Must work with others in creating sets, decorating photo props, and decorating vignettes.
• Will assist the Programming Department with various competitions including but not limited to: Home Arts and the Culinary Kitchen, adult and youth categories.
• Must provide excellent customer service in attractions and throughout the grounds.
• Performing other duties as required by the Programming Department.
• Organization and clean-up of Home Arts storage areas.
