About The Position

Requirements

  • Less than High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required for consideration; or up to one month related experience or training.
  • An equivalent combination of education or experience would also meet the required qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Use storytelling / improv techniques to connect guests with animals and exhibits, and interpret the mission of the aquarium
  • Monitor various exhibits and instruct guests on approved techniques for interacting with animals
  • Facilitate public interpretive programs with the use of bio-facts, animal ambassadors, and approved exhibit/ animal guides
  • Follow established procedures for opening and closing exhibit areas
  • Attend safety trainings and other related professional development courses
  • Maintain consistent cleanliness of work and public areas at all stations
  • Interact positively with all staff members and volunteers
  • Provide exceptional guest service to create a quality guest experience
