Our team is passionate about craftsmanship and creativity, and we are looking for a skilled Exhibit & Display Builder - Carpenter to join our dynamic group. As an Exhibit & Display Builder - Carpenter, you will play a key role in the construction and assembly of custom exhibits and displays. Your expertise in carpentry will contribute to transforming creative designs into functional, eye-catching structures. You will collaborate with designers, project managers, and other team members to ensure that all projects meet our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in carpentry, particularly in exhibit construction or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools, including familiarity with CNC machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with designers and project managers.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods and performing manual labor.
  • Capacity to work in various environments, including outdoor settings and construction sites.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings and project specifications to determine the materials and construction methods needed.
  • Construct, assemble, and install exhibits and displays using woodworking techniques, tools, and machinery.
  • Collaborate with design and project management teams to provide input on feasibility, materials, and construction methods.
  • Ensure quality control by monitoring the construction process and making necessary adjustments to maintain design integrity.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations while using tools and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems related to carpentry work on-site or in the workshop.
  • Assist in the transportation and installation of exhibits at various locations, including trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Repair and maintain existing displays as required.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in exhibit and display technologies.
