About The Position

SPOON Events, a Catalyst MXE company, is seeking a skilled Exhibit Carpenter to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of high-quality trade show structures and displays, ensuring our clients’ events are both visually impressive and structurally sound. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a carpenter, cabinet maker, or similar role, preferably in event or trade show environments
Strong knowledge of wood properties, Formica, laminating, cabinet construction, wall panels, carpentry materials, and tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good understanding of health and safety standards related to carpentry and construction
Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Responsibilities

Cut, fabricate, and assemble wooden and other materials to create trade show structures and displays according to detailed specifications
Operate a variety of carpentry tools and equipment safely and efficiently
Follow all health and safety standards and protocols to maintain a safe working environment
Collaborate with team members and project managers to meet deadlines and quality standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Inspect completed work for quality, durability, and adherence to specifications
Assist in the maintenance and repair of existing structures and displays as needed
