We are headquartered in Woodridge, IL and seeking an Exhibit Associate Manager to join our dynamic team. Job Description: Daily/General Tasks: Complete management responsibility of the Graphics Packing, Banners, & Fast Solutions Departments & maintains a high-level of quality and service by:  Holding all Supervisors and other employees accountable for the maintenance of tools, packing material, cleanliness of workspace & compliance with lean/5S program. Work to reduce waste & increase customer satisfaction through process improvements. Oversees that all displays are set up, photographed, and meet the Orbus quality standards, including the marry area. Works to improve the SOP’s for producing & finishing all new products pertaining to the department. Exhibit Associates must produce high quality products & follow instructions listed on the order (finishing specs, size, quality, etc.) Must keep jobs on track & hit deadlines for finishing and other departments, and makes sure we hit our hourly UPLH goals. Meets all shipping & trucking deadlines. Responsible for actively participating in all production meetings: Daily Graphics Meetings Weekly Production Meeting UPLH & Afternoon Huddles Maintains production schedule & plans work accordingly. Sets expectations for labor guidelines such as temps and over-time needs including: Weekend on-call schedules for busy seasons Planning out holiday & vacation coverage Limiting over-time and temp labor when necessary  Ensure accurate levels of inventory are maintained by following all the related BC processes and performing all monthly cycle counts.  Strategic Planning/Improvements: Identifies possible trends or areas for improvement in the department. Creates lean efficiencies and assembly line production workflows to accommodate a fast-paced, growing workload. Supports Continuous Improvement culture within Orbus by:  Participating and helping to oversee the 5S audit process Participating in Orbus Ideas/Poke Yokes & presenting them to the leadership team. Team Development & Staffing: Partially responsible for hiring decisions of all new Exhibit Associates. This position will conduct all 1st interviews and will make recommendations to the Director of Graphic Operations. Responsible for writing & delivering performance reviews for the following positions: Exhibit Associate Supervisors Exhibit Associates Responsible for providing mentorship and guidance to the Exhibit Associate Supervisors. Bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with direct reports to review the following:  accomplishments projects coming up opportunities for improvement Provides constructive feedback to direct reports as needed •    Department Training Program: Responsible for creating/maintaining training & cross-training plan for Exhibit Associates: Daily operating procedures Maintenance expectations Quality standards Works with Director of Graphic Operations to create and implement processes and work instructions for Exhibit Associate. Responsible for creating and helping to maintain training matrix documentation Recognizing when team members require further training & work with leadership team to determine action plan for improvement. Create plan for new hire training throughout the various areas.

Requirements

  • Solid organizational skills
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Management experience with medium size team (10-20 people)
  • Experience working in a production and /or manufacturing environment
  • Attention to detail & ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Tradeshow experience is a plus but not required
