The MS Resilience Team Member at the LMS 7/8 Academy plays a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience for students by leading and coordinating the instructional team. This position is designed for educators who are passionate about fostering collaboration among their peers and ensuring that all team members are engaged in meaningful discussions around the four essential questions of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs): What do we want students to learn? How will we know when they've learned it? What will we do when they don't learn it? What will we do when they've already learned it? The successful candidate will be responsible for creating an environment where team members hold themselves mutually accountable for achieving common goals, thereby enhancing the overall capacity of the team. In this role, the educator will lead the team in preparing and utilizing norms, planning agendas, and chairing meetings. They will serve as a vital communication link between the administration and the staff, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged in the educational process. The team leader will also analyze and improve student data, researching and experimenting with best practices in education to drive learning improvement goals. This position requires a commitment to professional development, as the team leader will attend all ITL Learning Sessions, focusing on PLC work, meeting facilitation, and coaching. The MS Resilience Team Member will actively participate in the building leadership team, contributing to the development, facilitation, and monitoring of school improvement efforts. They will help plan and lead action steps based on data reviews, which may include co-planning and facilitating professional development, conducting action research, and building systems of mutual support and accountability. This role is ideal for a lifelong learner who is dedicated to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture while navigating challenges and conflicts productively.
