Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
  • Three (3) months of exercise or fitness programming related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Responsibilities

  • Provides fitness floor supervision for members and assists with questions about their exercise program.
  • Corrects exercise technique, takes blood pressure as needed, and monitors for the safety of all participants.
  • Provides tours for prospective members and or guests and can answer basic questions about our services.
  • Provides instruction on the established program during an orientation session and modifies it as necessary according to the client's response.
  • Educates members on Facility Rules and Guidelines.
  • Participates in other projects including community marketing events, bulletin boards, tidying client files, cleaning equipment, and customer survey reporting.
  • May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
