About The Position

Are you seeking a flexible schedule with an organization who values patients and employees alike? Look no further! Saint Luke's South is currently seeking a PRN Exercise Specialist to join the team! The Exercise Specialist (ES) provides exercise leadership, instruction, prescription, and counseling to clients. The ES supervises maintenance and safety of exercise equipment through communication with Biomedical Services and external vendors. The primary purpose of the ES is to develop a sound fitness program and assist with the total fitness process of the client.

Requirements

• 1 year of applicable experience.
• Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Bachelor's Degree.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Cardiac Rehab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exercise leadership and instruction to clients.
• Prescribe exercise programs tailored to individual client needs.
• Counsel clients on fitness and health-related topics.
• Supervise maintenance and safety of exercise equipment.
• Communicate with Biomedical Services and external vendors regarding equipment.
