About The Position

As an Exercise Planning Support Specialist you will have the opportunity to provide senior-level planning and execution support for joint and service exercises in support of I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF). This role supports the full exercise lifecycle, from concept development through execution and after-action reporting, and serves as a trusted advisor to leadership on exercise design, coordination, and readiness outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent military experience).
10+ years of experience in exercise planning or operational training support.
Experience supporting Major Command or MEF-level exercises.
Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills.
Ability to operate independently in dynamic environments.
Active TS/SCI clearance.

Nice To Haves

Joint or combined exercise planning experience.
Familiarity with joint exercise lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities

Provide senior-level exercise planning and execution support to I MEF.
Support development and management of exercise plans, schedules, and objectives.
Coordinate exercise planning activities with internal staff sections and external stakeholders.
Support logistics, funding, and administrative coordination for exercises and training events.
Participate in planning conferences, working groups, and execution reviews.
Analyze exercise outcomes and support after-action reporting and improvement initiatives.
Identify risks and issues during exercise planning and execution and recommend solutions.
Prepare briefings and reports for senior leadership.
Operate independently while delivering senior-level exercise planning expertise.
