About The Position
This position is located at Carilion Wellness - Botetourt. The Intern provides support for specific projects on a temporary basis. The role involves interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization as necessary, using various communication means (e.g. e-mail, phone calls, face to face meetings). The intern will manage data and information, prepare reports and/or project summaries, and serve on work teams as assigned. They will actively participate in staff and committee meetings and complete a project designed to benefit the healthcare system. The intern will exercise technical abilities with respective software to support project and/or operational tasks, proactively seek out duties and responsibilities, and appropriately prioritize assignments. Regular meetings with the Manager/Mentor will be held to discuss completed items, projects in progress, and potential projects.
