About The Position

The Exercise Physiologist will work on the Neuro Med/Surg Floor, performing and maintaining exercise prescriptions, mobilizing patients, and conducting patient exercise therapy as specified. The role involves notifying the leader of changes in the patient's condition, performance, and response to treatment. The Exercise Physiologist will work closely with other disciplines and specialties within the department and facility, as well as with patients and families, to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a Health/Fitness field required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Exercise Specialist certified by the American College of Sports Medicine or eligible to test for the same.
• Experience in exercise programming for healthy and diseased populations.
• Experience in group and individual instruction, exercise prescription, and counseling on healthy lifestyles.
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred.
• College Internship or related experience acceptable.

Nice To Haves

• ACSM Exercise Specialist preferred.
