About The Position

The Exercise Physiologist is responsible for teaching exercise classes, administering fitness testing, and developing and implementing exercise programs for patients across various age groups. This role emphasizes educating patients and their families about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and exercise, while also supervising exercise programs and providing emergency medical care as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Performance, Adult Health & Fitness, or a related field.
• BLS Certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Performance, Adult Health & Fitness with a concentration in cardiac health.

Responsibilities

• Teach exercise classes to patients.
• Administer fitness testing to assess patient capabilities.
• Develop and implement exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Educate patients and families on the benefits of exercise and a healthy lifestyle.
• Supervise exercise programs for cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients.
• Deliver emergency medical care following established protocols.
