More about our team Join our rehabilitation team of over 50 clinicians (physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology) with the opportunity to work in one of our 3 outpatient locations and/or an acute care hospital with 154 beds. Our featured hospital units include medical surgical, same day surgery, intensive care unit, progressive care unit, behavioral health unit, emergency department and women’s services. At Haywood Rehabilitation, we value excellent patient care that ensures optimal outcomes, a collaborative team environment and a culture of respect. We employ a variety of specialty trained clinicians and feature one-on-one patient care. We offer flexibility that may include non-traditional schedules to best meet patient and employee needs.

Requirements

  • Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be obtained within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology is preferred
  • ACSM preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Collaborates and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Assists with monitoring staffing activities, including orienting, evaluating, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Ensures that the department operates within compliance. Coordinates internal/external audits.
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
