About The Position

The Exercise Physiologist assumes a collaborative role on the interdisciplinary sports medicine team. The Exercise Physiologist in sports & human performance will be responsible for sports and human performance programs. The individual will be responsible for day to day operations to ensure maximum efficiency. The Exercise Physiologist in sports & human performance will provide testing and evaluation of physical performance factors for each client, athletic conditioning program design, instruction, and supervision of clients. The Exercise Physiologist will be responsible for documentation per Premier Health standards, professional practice activities, public speaking, and cost management. This individual is professionally responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the sports medicine team.

Requirements

  • Degree in Exercise Science/Physiology from an accredited program.
  • Current BLS certification required at time of hire.
  • CSCS Certification within first year of hire.
  • 1 - 3 years of job-related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience: 1-3 years of job-related experience in Exercise Science or Health Promotion.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Sports Performance and Strength Management programs in conjunction with AT managers, Medical Directors, physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and orthopedic consultants.
  • Responsible for registration, billing, and scheduling of clients.
  • Program coordination, protocol development, service promotion and outreach, and ensuring quality and productivity of the program for the integrated network.
  • Ensure compliance with state and health system documentation requirements.
  • Engage in professional development and stay abreast of new technologies.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to all customers, family members, and other visitors.
  • Treat customers, family members, healthcare providers, and co-workers with courtesy and respect.
  • Provide community, customer, and family education.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary, collaborative communication with the sports medicine team.
  • Participate in programs/service performance improvement activities.
