About The Position

The Exercise Physiologist at Providence Saint John's Health Center is responsible for assessment and delivery of therapies specific to Cardiac Rehabilitation as ordered by the referring MD. This includes helping patients cope with daily living difficulties associated with their health or illness problems. The role involves developing a comprehensive individualized rehabilitation program that includes initial assessment, patient and family education, and monitored progressive exercise programs. The Exercise Physiologist supports the philosophy, objectives, and policies of the department, Saint John's Health Center, and Providence Health Systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field.
• ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification upon hire.
• AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehab Professional certification upon hire.
• Provider ACLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• 1 year of experience working with cardiac patients in an ambulatory or inpatient setting.
