About The Position

Working hours are from 8:30 am to 5:30 PM and will work one Saturday a month conducting stress testing. Monday-Wednesday-Friday in the Cardiac Rehab. Tuesday-Thursday in Pulmonary Rehab. Delivers, organizes, and develops the content for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. May also assist with the delivery of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program. May be required to conduct fitness assessments exercise prescriptions and health and fitness consultations for patients in Cardiac Rehabilitation and/or members of a 'wellness' center within the facility. May serve as an exercise test technologist in the Nuclear Cardiology department. Providence caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable. Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in in health/medical-related field of study or equivalent education/experience.
  • Bachelors Degree plus 3 years' experience or Master's Degree in exercise physiology with completed internship and training.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework/Training: Course work/credit in Cardiac Rehab related subjects.
  • ACSM certification upon hire.
  • AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehab Professional upon hire.
  • 300 hours internship or Volunteer in Cardiac Rehab, or 6 months direct cardiac patient care, or 6 months teaching health-related topics to adults.
  • 1 year in Cardiac Rehab.
  • 1 year as Fitness Instructor and/or Personal Trainer.
  • 1 year of experience in a stress testing environment
  • 1 year with Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)
