About the position
Aspirus Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, WI is seeking an EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST to join our Cardiac Rehab team! The Exercise Physiologist implements and provides ongoing clinical care for patients in programs within the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation department.
Responsibilities
- Implement and provide ongoing clinical care for patients in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology or Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab.
- Advanced coursework in cardiovascular/pulmonary physiology/pathology, cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation, exercise testing, prescription and ECG interpretation.
- A minimum of two years' clinical experience in cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation, cardiovascular care, and individual and group patient and/or community health education.
- Certification by the American College of Sports Medicine as an Exercise Specialist or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist within one year of hire.
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider Course or Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider Course.
- Demonstrates team-oriented work and flexibility, as well as good written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in diabetic or other chronic disease patient population.
