About The Position

Chubb serves the property and casualty insurance needs of businesses of all sizes in a broad range of industries. We also provide specialized insurance products-such as personal accident, supplemental health and life insurance-to individuals in select countries. Our reinsurance operations include both property and casualty and life companies. This position focuses on business development and agency management, territory management, account targeting, and understanding and managing risk to produce profitable new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelors' degree
• 5 years of Underwriting experience
• Knowledge of insurance industry
• Knowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to establish trust and effective working relationships
• Superior communication (oral and written), interpersonal and negotiating skills
• Great technology skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet marketing skills are a plus

Responsibilities

• Utilize and develop personal and business relationships with P&C brokers and agents to produce new account opportunities for the International Division of Chubb.
• Execute on the sales and marketing plan for assigned territory, ensuring that monthly broker and agent calls and stewardship meetings are planned, scheduled and administered effectively.
• Harvest personal knowledge of sales territory and agent-controlled business to develop and refine a long-term prospecting and short-term target list of new business opportunities.
• Review new business submissions to understand the nature of the Multinational risk and utilize this analysis to produce and deliver winning quotes.
• Work with brokers and clients to understand and respond to evolving client needs driven by international market expansion and acquisition.
• Embrace the challenge of producing and underwriting profitable new business opportunities.
