About The Position

The Executive Team Leader GM & Food Sales (Assistant Manager Grocery) at Target is responsible for driving total store sales and managing the General Merchandise and Food Sales teams. This role focuses on ensuring a consistent guest experience by overseeing product availability, food safety, and operational efficiency. The Executive Team Leader will lead a team of experts, develop strategies for workload planning, and create a guest-obsessed culture that prioritizes service and sales goals.

Requirements

  • 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business.

Responsibilities

  • Drive total store sales and understand the role in sales growth.
  • Manage Food & Beverage, food services, inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing processes.
  • Manage a team of experts in operations, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Enable efficient delivery to guests by leading pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work.
  • Develop a strategy and utilize workload planning tools to complete all scheduled workload.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with the team to ensure task completion.
  • Manage all GM backroom and sales floor areas, reviewing reporting to identify gaps and develop plans to resolve them.
  • Oversee GM Team Leaders' workload planning including transitions, revisions, and sales plans.
  • Drive fulfillment sales by leading the Fulfillment team to fulfill orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Train, validate, and coach the team to deliver proper execution on food safety standards.
  • Lead an efficient operation to fund the sales culture.
  • Create a guest-obsessed culture that prioritizes the guest experience and delivers on store sales goals.
  • Assess competition and leverage guest insights to drive business objectives.
  • Work a flexible schedule that aligns with guest and business needs, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management.
