About The Position

The Executive Steward at The Hotel Hershey is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness, food safety, sanitation, and organization of all kitchens. This role involves managing the stewarding staff, maintaining inventory of food equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The position requires a hands-on approach and collaboration with culinary leadership to ensure timely food delivery for events.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
• Minimum of 4 years supervisory experience.
• Completion of high school or GED.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Skilled in the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise stewarding staff; hire, schedule, train, motivate, and counsel all staff on a department that operates twenty four hours a day seven days a week.
• Maintain sanitation, safety, security and quality standards and proactively create programs to address shortcomings.
• Purchase all cleaning supplies for the F&B department and china, glass, silver and smallwares.
• Ensure that quarterly inventories or when business needs demands, are conducted and results are compiled and reported accurately.
• Work closely with culinary leadership to ensure that the Stewarding department complies with all timelines to ensure all food is delivered at the appropriate time for catered events.
• Transport equipment, trash, and employees on and off property by driving company box trucks and golf carts.
• Assist with payroll, glass, china, silver and smallwares budgeting and ensure that these budgets are adhered to.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
