About The Position

The Executive Sous Chef will be part of the culinary leadership team, working alongside and under the guidance of the Executive Chef to lead and support the daily operations in a fast-paced, highvolume kitchen, driving the culinary execution of our uniquely inspired menu. Responsible for the preparation and execution of the menu, the Executive Sous Chef will manage day to daykitchen operations and coordinate kitchen activities, including execution of private events.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a culinary manager or supervisor in a full-service restaurant; experience within a high-volume food & beverage, hospitality, and/or social entertainment venue
  • Be collaborative, using a team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment and have respectful working relationship
  • Must be organized, work efficiently and be able to perform tasks with minimal oversight and supervision
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to resolve conflict and provide direction to your teams
  • Demonstrates financial acumen, strong understanding of culinary operations & safety
  • Tech savvy and willingness to learn new systems and tools.
  • Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • This position must pass a post-offer background check

Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership:
  • Manage kitchen operations & scheduling, including oversight of Team Leads and Team Members and day-to-day execution for dish, prep and line stations
  • Support daily operations by following food quality standards, assisting with inventory and purchasing/storage
  • Partner with Executive Chef across forecasting and overall performance goals and objectives
  • Oversee kitchen training, food execution, menu rollouts and system initiative
  • Uphold all policies and procedures focused on product quality: daily line checks, prep and par level control, regular food audits, and 100% commitment to safe and sanitary operations.
  • Assist with the execution of planned corporate menus, including seasonal menu changes and private event menus
  • Ensure collaboration between kitchen and front of house operations to ensure seamless service
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Team Development and Management:
  • Focus on team member/associate development and cross training to ensure maximum operational efficiency and career growth.
  • Conducts pre-shift meetings to provide daily focus and provide continuous coaching and direction to hourly staff
  • Represent Puttshack’s brand and values to create a respectful, positive and professional work environment
  • Introduce and support the implementation of kitchen training materials to the team
  • Guest Experience:
  • Champion the Puttshack brand by ensuring a consistent and exceptional guest experience
  • Ensures a quality guest experience through oversight of associates preparing and cooking food
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment and food safety
  • Ensure proper safety protocols to minimize risk and ensure a safe environment for guests and associates.
