About The Position

The Executive Sous Chef supports the culinary leadership team in overseeing kitchen operations across the United Center, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency, and execution in a high‑volume, event‑driven environment. This role plays a key part in menu execution, team leadership, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of culinary experience; executive chef or executive sous chef experience required
  • High‑volume, stadium, arena, hotel, or banquet experience strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, event-driven environments with shifting priorities.
  • Flexible schedule required—must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night events.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily culinary operations for events, premium dining, and clubs
  • Execute menus with consistency, quality, and efficiency at scale
  • Supervise, train, and mentor sous chefs and culinary staff
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Assist with food costing, inventory, and waste control
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef on menus, standards, and innovation
