About The Position

Launchpad Hospitality is hiring an Executive Sous Chef to join the team at Nami Nori's new Virginia Beach location, an iconic restaurant where Pharrell Williams is a partner. We’re looking for someone energetic, experienced, and ready to take on a leadership role—someone passionate about great food, exceptional service, and inspiring a team. Nami Nori was the first to specialize in open-style sushi hand rolls in New York City. Our mission is to build a global fanbase for temaki through omotenashi—the Japanese art of gracious hospitality. This includes food production, coaching and training, ordering & inventory, and maintaining department of health standards and compliance with all regulations.. • Expert knife skills
• Experience costing recipes and recipe input
• Strong understanding of menu performance to drive profitability
• Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, procedures and equipment
• Expert knowledge of DOH Guidelines
• Highly motivated leader who leads with empathy and inspires their team to achieve a high level of performance:
• Able to seamlessly work with different personalities and temperaments
• High attention to detail and maintains high standards for quality, cleanliness, presentation, food safety and efficiency
• Exceptional skill with streamlining processes and procedures from a macro and micro level
