About The Position

The Executive Search Director is an instrumental and key addition to a dynamic and effective Permanent Placement/Executive Search team at Cherry Bekaert. Based out of any of our Tysons/Rockville/DC offices, this individual will be responsible for full life-cycle business development, sourcing and recruiting, account management, needs assessment and placement within the Permanent Placement/Executive Search Practice. We are seeking a professional Executive Recruiter to source and place candidates on behalf of our clients for highly specialized positions. You will identify and attract first-rate talent and ensure lasting and successful placements. Our mission is to exceed clients’ expectations and to add value to their business. This Executive Search Director will operate under a tireless team concept, with a high level of urgency and communication - and an outstanding, ethical, client-service focused approach. Depending on the engagement, you may also collaborate with Senior Recruiters and Permanent Placement/Executive Search Practice colleagues to support the team. The Executive and Professional Search process consists of several responsibility areas: Sourcing and Business Development: Proactive sourcing of quality active and passive prospective talent, using, but not limited to: cold calls, phone and video interviews, online research, networking events (virtual/ in-person), and candidate reference calls Nurture current and placed candidates for referrals Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams including: Contract Staffing, Business Development, Senior Partners and Executive Management. Conduct outreach, participate and drive attendance to multiple firm-sponsored networking events, career and college fairs, conferences, symposiums, social events and corporate gatherings Utilize regional offices for professional and executive candidate interviews Account Management & Placement: Execute and manage new position strategy calls with new and/or existing clients Maintain high level of ethical, accurate and professional communication at all times Perform best-in-class, full-cycle client account management through timely phone calls, client meetings and email follow-up Promote job opportunities to qualified candidates at professional and executive level Manage and negotiate contract details with and for clients (fee amounts, guarantee periods and other misc. language) Support, negotiate offer terms, process and delivery Schedule candidate interviews, execute candidate feedback calls and perform reference checks Support candidates with resume review, interview guidance and feedback

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Liberal Arts is preferred
  • 5-10+ years of external search firm, or "agency" with finance/accounting focus highly preferred
  • 5+ years of corporate talent acquisition or "internal recruiting" preferred
  • Client-first mindset operating with independence to drive leads and provide exceptional service to firm owners, partners and leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Public Accounting experience, MBA or CPA is preferred
