About The Position

You will support the Corporate Security Executive Protection team by planning, coordinating, and providing security protection for senior Lockheed Martin Executives. Often on call beyond normal working hours in the protection and transportation of senior executives and visitors to and from Lockheed Martin facilities, meetings, and special events. May use force of arms to carry out the mission. May perform emergency medical response. Performs advance trip planning/coordination with law enforcement agencies and other groups for executive visits for both domestic and international travel. The applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Possess or be able to obtain a Maryland and VA Special Police Commission and concealed weapon permits. Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • 5 years experience in providing close protection and advance trip planning/coordination to executives
  • Experience in providing security for high profile visits
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the Washington, DC metro area.
  • Tactical driving capabilities.
  • Ability to work long hours and travel both CONUS and OCONUS
  • Experience in working in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel
  • Strong teamwork capabilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in dealing with workplace violence.
  • AED/CPR Certified
  • Familiarity with home security systems.
  • Training coordination for law enforcement and security personnel
  • Fleet management experience
  • Equipment custodian experience (preferrable law enforcement or first responder)
  • Extensive experience with tactical training and use-of-force concepts
  • In-depth understanding of de-escalation techniques
